Ribaudos Auto Repair is an independent workshop in A Coruña. We focus on clear communication, accurate diagnostics, and repairs carried out properly — so your vehicle stays reliable for the long term.
From routine oil changes to complex electrical diagnostics, we handle a wide range of automotive work. Each job gets the same level of attention — regardless of how straightforward it seems.
We use professional diagnostic equipment to read fault codes and identify issues accurately before any work begins.
Full brake system inspection, pad and disc replacement, caliper servicing, and brake fluid changes.
Worn shock absorbers, damaged control arms, steering component wear — we diagnose and repair suspension issues properly.
Battery testing, alternator diagnosis, lighting faults, wiring issues, and sensor replacement.
Oil and filter changes, air filters, spark plugs, coolant, and all standard service items.
Buying a used car? We provide a thorough inspection to help you make an informed decision.
We believe you should know exactly what's happening to your vehicle at every stage. Here's how a typical repair job progresses at Ribaudos.
When your vehicle arrives, a technician carries out a visual and physical check to understand what's been brought in and what the customer has reported. This takes around 15–20 minutes and sets the scope for the diagnostic work.
We connect diagnostic equipment to retrieve fault codes and live data from the vehicle's systems. For mechanical issues, we carry out test drives and physical component checks. Diagnostics takes as long as it needs to — rushing this stage leads to incorrect repairs.
We contact you with a clear explanation of what we've found, what the repair involves, and a written estimate. We don't proceed with work until you've given approval. If we find additional issues during the repair, we inform you before going further.
Work is carried out by the technician assigned to your vehicle. We use quality parts appropriate for your vehicle's age and use case. We don't take shortcuts that might save time in the short term but cause problems later.
After the repair, we carry out a final test — whether that's a road test, a repeat diagnostic scan, or a functional check of the repaired system. When we're satisfied the work is complete, we call you for collection and walk you through what was done.
Answer four short questions and we'll give you a useful indication of what maintenance or repair your vehicle may need.
How many miles has it been since your last oil change?
Have you noticed any of these symptoms recently?
When did you last have a full vehicle inspection?
How does your vehicle feel when accelerating?
Short multiple-choice questions on car maintenance, warning signs, and basic vehicle knowledge. Select an answer to see the explanation.
How often should engine oil typically be changed in a modern car?
What does a persistent high-pitched squeal when braking usually indicate?
The check engine light comes on while driving with no other symptoms. What's the right response?
What is the legal minimum tyre tread depth in most European countries?
We don't ask for reviews — these are customers who came back to tell us about their experience.
I brought my car in because the check engine light had been on for weeks. Other places quoted me repairs without really explaining what was wrong. Ribaudos showed me the diagnostic results on the screen, explained what the fault code meant, and gave me a clear quote before doing anything. Simple and straightforward.
My brakes had been making noise for a while and I kept putting it off. The team at Ribaudos inspected the whole system and only replaced the rear pads — the fronts were actually still within spec. I appreciated that they didn't try to replace everything just to charge more.
I had a pre-purchase inspection done before buying a second-hand car. They found two issues the seller hadn't mentioned — one minor, one that would have cost me quite a bit to fix. The inspection fee paid for itself immediately. Good service, no rush, very thorough.
My car had an intermittent electrical fault that two other workshops couldn't trace. Ribaudos spent time with it, used proper diagnostic equipment, and eventually found a wiring issue near the battery that was causing all sorts of strange behaviour. Fixed properly, and the car has been fine ever since.
Been bringing both our family cars here for three years. They're consistent, honest about what needs doing now versus what can wait, and the prices are fair. It's also just easier to deal with a workshop where someone actually explains things clearly rather than handing you an invoice and hoping you don't ask questions.
The suspension on my older car had become noticeably worse and I was genuinely unsure if it was worth repairing. They inspected it honestly — explained which parts had genuine wear, which were fine, and gave me a realistic picture. I made my own decision. That kind of transparency keeps me coming back.
Our team has a combined experience of over 40 years in automotive repair and diagnostics.
Carlos founded Ribaudos Auto Repair over 14 years ago after working in dealership service centres. He specialises in diagnostics and engine repair, and still takes on complex jobs directly.

Miguel has 12 years of experience in automotive electrical systems and modern vehicle diagnostics. He handles the most technically complex electrical faults in the workshop.
Pablo focuses on chassis work — brakes, suspension, and wheel alignment. His background includes five years at a specialist tyre and alignment centre before joining Ribaudos.
These aren't marketing slogans — they're working principles that shape how we approach every job.
You get a clear explanation of what was found, what needs doing, and why — before any work begins. No surprises on the invoice.
We take time to identify the actual problem rather than replacing parts speculatively. This saves time, cost, and frustration for everyone.
If something doesn't need replacing yet, we'll say so. If a repair isn't worth doing given the vehicle's value and age, we'll tell you that too.
We use parts appropriate to your vehicle — whether OEM or quality aftermarket — and always recommend based on the vehicle's needs and your budget.
We aim to carry out repairs that last. Taking shortcuts might save time today but sends customers back with the same problem — that's not how we work.
Ribaudos has been part of A Coruña for over 14 years. We care about our reputation in this community. Our customers are neighbours, not transactions.
For most work, booking in advance is helpful so we can allocate time and have parts ready if needed. For simple things like a tyre check or oil top-up, calling ahead and dropping by is usually fine. If you're unsure, give us a call and we'll let you know what works best.
Yes — always. We will not carry out any repair work beyond the diagnostic check without first explaining what we've found and getting your approval. If we find something additional during the repair, we stop and call you before proceeding.
Connecting the diagnostic equipment and reading fault codes typically takes 20–30 minutes. However, interpreting the codes and carrying out additional checks to confirm the root cause can take longer — especially for intermittent faults that don't appear under all conditions. We'll give you an estimate when you drop the car off.
We work on most European and Asian makes commonly found in Spain. We have diagnostic coverage for a wide range of manufacturers. If you have a specific or uncommon vehicle, get in touch beforehand and we'll confirm whether we're the right workshop for it.
We accept cash, card payment (Visa and Mastercard), and bank transfer for larger jobs. Payment is due at collection. If you have any questions about payment for a specific job, just ask when you bring the car in.
We stand behind our repairs. If a fault reappears in the same area within a reasonable period after the repair, bring the car back and we'll assess it. Parts come with manufacturer warranties, and our labour is included for a reasonable period after the repair date. We discuss this on a case-by-case basis depending on the type of work.
